Testing the Aplio/Phone

Before you make an Aplio/Phone call, you will want to conduct a Self-test of the device to check your configuration and Internet connection.

To do so:

1. Pick up the receiver and listen for the dial tone, then press eco_sm.gif (255 bytes) twice.
2. While listening to the Main Options menu, press the apliobtn_sm.gif (329 bytes) button once to begin the Self-test process.
3. When prompted, hang up the phone. DO NOT HANG UP UNTIL PROMPTED TO DO SO. After about one minute your telephone will ring. (However, it may take as long as five minutes.) When you answer it, you will hear "Test successful" followed by a busy signal.
4. Hang up the phone.
5. If the test was unsuccessful, the voice prompt will give you an error message.

Verify that you entered your Internet account information correctly, in addition to checking "Problems and Solutions"  for more information on error messages.
